Should FixtoHist.exe run all the time?

I believe that this program is what syncs the databse manager's Historian Tab with the Historian collector. This action then causes the tags that are enabled in eth database to show up in Historian - Which they arent.

I started FixtoHist.exe from the CMD line (on my SCADA server) and it runs briefly and then quits. I imagine that this is why my Historian is empty exept for the 3 tags I added from the Historian console itself.

I dont want to assign ALL the tags in my DB, just the ones in selected in the DB manager.

BTW I am running iFix as a service - could that affect this at all?

A main processing unit in a mining, minerals processing or manufacturing plant is typically a well-defined section in a plant that performs a specific processing function as one of the main process stages in a plant to produce the end product. Is there a Proficy ME Logic Developer PLC version that fully supports W7/64?

I purchased ME 7.0 on the basis that it was fully W7 compliant and then found that only references addresses were displayed in the Navigator Variables window and ended up having to purchase VM Ware and run it using XP in order to have it functional on my W7 64 bit laptop.

We're trying to conect a scales to Cimplicity throught a dll. We are adding this dll in properties, event editor, assembly references, and then we can use it in a .net script.

Inside the script, the editor is able to find imports library and we're able to use the properties and the methods of the library. But when we execute the script it appears the following message that it seems tha Cimplicity is not able to load the dll:

Historian 4.5, WIN 7 Pro new PC full admin rights

When trying to install the Excel Addin or Client Hist Non Web Admin the install program faults and asks to be closed. I've tried Hist 4.0 and even 3.1 and all give the same fault just after clicking Yes at the License Agreement screen:

I just recently found this forum and I am interested to be involved inside.

I have a problem with upgrading proficy me software.
In our company there is a main notebook to store all the ge plc program and practically it will be used for troubleshooting purpose in the field. This notebook still use version 5.8 and the proficy me itself use a software key authorization.
Actually it is running well until several updated version is coming and installed in the others computer (proficy 6.0 and proficy 6.5), then it start to become problem for us because some program which is made by newer version software is not compatible with the old version proficy me.

Lately I want to upgrade the version with installing the new one. But it is mention to uninstall first the existing. I wonder what will happen if I uninstall the existing, will the software key authorization will be lost? And after I install the new version, will I be asked to authorize the product once again?
I am afraid if I uninstall the existing it will be problem. And I want to avoid that because this notebook is very important to support troubleshooting.

Also I want to know, whether all the projects will be lost if I uninstall and install again the new version. I know that it will be wise if all the projects is being backup first before conducting any experiments.

I have a pop up that is used by several screens via Tag group. Various objects ar populated on the pop up with these tag groupls. I would like however to have certain buttons and graphic NOT appear when a certain screen number is used. Anyone have any ideas ?

Hello, I'm using version 6.2 for a job. I am displaying breakers by zones for a shop using script. I can get all of the panels and breakers to display on screen. If the user goes into another page and comes back it still loads up everything just fine, but then if the user navigates out and comes back a third time, it says loading, then displays nothing, with no errors. I have narrowed down the script using msg boxes to see what is not running, the first time everything runs through just fine. The second time, basically it will not load in my zone, panel, and breaker information, but still manages to display the information (perhaps retains information from previous time) and then the third time it will display nothing, I get no msg boxes popping up saying it is reading that it is trying to read that part of the script. I guess my question is how do I get it to read the script all the way through, every time someone goes onto the page? If anyone has any information, please let me know.

To do this it will be need it:
- a software that has OPC communication that support communication PLC such as, in my case Modbus TCP/IP or Ethernet TCP/IP from PLC, in my case?
or
- a SCADA system that has incorporate OPC server and support Modbus TCP/IP or Ethernet TCP/IP from PLC, in my case?

I am trying to use the Action calendar for dynamically scheduling Changing. My idea was change the time event by scripts.
